Genoa: At the Palazzo Ducale, within the “Society for Readings and Scientific Conversations” (Società di Letture e Conversazioni Scientifiche), Aurelio Canonici gave a piano-illustrated lecture titled “Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 – From Struggle to Joy.” Through examples played on the piano and excerpts from orchestral recordings, Maestro Canonici guided a large audience through the themes, movements, and the innermost structure of this great Beethovenian masterpiece.
