A torturous week of symphony concerts.

… The National Radio Orchestra had Italian, Aurelio Canonici, as a guest conductor. His artistic talent had the entire auditorium on their feet to give him a standing ovation. Canonici is very charismatic and is capable of handling even difficult orchestras, like the National Radio Orchestra, and getting them to perform in such a manner as to gain the admiration of his audiences. The Overture to Wagner’s Tannhäuser was the most outstanding, and Ciaikovskij’s Symphony No. 4 was also enthusiastically applauded…
