At the RAI Auditorium in Naples … The performance by the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti was of a remarkable level and the mutual understanding with Aurelio Canonici, already recently appraised, emerged even further in the closer communication between the conductor and the members of the orchestra … As is his commendable habit, Canonici conducts by heart and even the face-to-face dialogue with the musicians benefits from this. The results are a natural consequence: flexibility of musical phrasing and attention to the balance of sound … Great applause from the satisfied audience whose curiosity and acknowledgements were fulfilled; a pity that it wasn’t as numerous as an event of this level deserves.
