Yogyakarta Royal Orchestra

July 2026: “Belcanto: the Italian Voice.” This was the title of the concert conducted in Yogyakarta by Aurelio Canonici, leading the Yogyakarta Royal Orchestra and the Royal Choir. The program featured arias, duets, choruses, ensemble pieces, and overtures by Rossini, Bellini, and Donizetti, performed alongside soprano Eva Polimeni, tenor Daniele Falcone, and baritone Matteo Mancini. A few days later, excerpts from the program were presented in Jakarta at the Italian Ambassador’s residence, with the soloists accompanied on the piano by Aurelio Canonici himself.
